The Super Bowl is right around the corner! While I haven’t always been the biggest football fan, The Super Bowl is always one of my favorite days of the year. I love getting to spend time with friends and family, and of course make and eat yummy food!

My Plans for Super Bowl Sunday

Now that my older brother and I are in college together, we spend a lot of time with one big friend group. We are planning to have a watch party for the game, so of course there will be cupcakes involved! To add another layer of excitement, I, along with Swifties around the country can’t wait to watch Taylor’s boyfriend play! I will definitely be adding a Swiftie touch to the dessert table, because how could I pass up the opportunity?!😉

round sprinkles | long sprinkles

Team Themed Sprinkle Cupcakes

I’ve found that the easiest and cutest way to represent your team on a cupcake is by using sprinkles in their colors! I love doing the style pictured below, because it is a super easy way to make fun sprinkles look even more exciting! I start our with a round tip and make a swirl of buttercream on the base of the cupcake, roll it in sprinkles, and then I add another swirl using a star piping tip and I finish it with more sprinkles. It’s so fun and so easy!

Swiftie Cupcakes

These are some of my favorite cupcakes I have ever made! I made these Taylor Swift themed cupcakes before attending the Eras Tour in LA, and they were so fun to make! While they may look complex, it really is a simple technique that gives you this result. This video will show you how I get the smooth surface on my cupcakes, and be sure to put them in the freezer for 10 minutes to let them set! Then all you need is a small round piping tip to write with your buttercream on top of the flat buttercream.

These cupcakes follow the same technique as the Swiftie ones mentioned above! They are relatively simple to make, and they look SO cool!

Football Cupcakes

These football cupcakes are so easy to make, and they look SO fun! Follow this tutorial to make the toppers, place them on top of your cupcakes, and you are all good to go!

For The Referees

If you aren’t sure which team to root for, but still want a festive treat, I love to make Cookies & Cream cupcakes to represent the refs! While we may not alway love the calls they make on the field, Cookies & Cream will never do you wrong. Their naturally black and white appearance gives the perfect nod to referees!
