Simple swirl with heart sprinkles

Heart sprinkles | Round piping tip

If you are wanting to make fun Valentine’s Day cupcakes, but don’t want to get too advanced, this is the cupcake for you! All you need is a large round piping tip, and some heart sprinkles. Give your cupcake a fun swirl of buttercream and a dash of sprinkles, and there you have it – a cute and easy cupcake!

These are so fun! While they require a few more items, they are super easy to put together! Here’s what you’ll need: a large round piping tip, pink food coloring, black fondant, a set of alphabet cookie cutters, and some Valentine’s Day confetti sprinkles!

Roses are a Valentine’s Day staple, so these cupcake’s are the perfect way to celebrate a day of love! Using a star piping tip, tightly swirl your buttercream starting from the inside, working your way to the outer edge. Once completed, top with some heart sprinkles, and you are golden!

Valentine’s Day nonpareil sprinkles | Heart sprinkles | Star piping tip | Round piping tip

This is one of my all-time favorite cupcake decorating techniques! To start, you will make a single swirl covering the entire surface of the cupcake, almost to the edge, but not spilling over. You will then roll that in Valentine’s Day nonpareil sprinkles, and top that with another swirl of buttercream using a star piping tip, and finish it off with heart sprinkles! The layers and variation that this style has adds so much depth and interest!
